Fleet Mechanic

Job Summary:

As a Lead Mechanic at Pro-Mow, you will be responsible for the maintenance and operations of our fleet, equipment, and service center. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our trucks and equipment are in optimal working condition, thus contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of our daily operations. Your leadership, organizational skills, and technical expertise will be essential in effectively executing your responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Consistently shows up for work on time at the assigned location. If unable to work, notify the Supervisor immediately.
• Troubleshoot & repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues.
• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory.
• Monitor and coordinate procurement of required parts and supplies in a timely manner to prevent delays.
• Collaborate with operations and administrative teams to ensure equipment readiness during peak seasons.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in equipment maintenance including practical knowledge of diesel/gas trucks, commercial mowers and 2-cycle equipment
• Budget management skills and an understanding of cost control principles
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
• Own tools applicable to position
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for long periods
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Not mandatory but a plus:

• Experience repairing/maintaining Ford trucks
• Experience with snow plow/snow equipment maintenance
• Bilingual (Spanish/English)
