Description

We are seeking a Reliability (Lubrication) Technician for our First Quality Baby Products facility located in Macon, GA. The primary responsibility is to support the Reliability and Maintenance Planning function through the management of sampling, testing, and completion of lubrication routes, as directed by the Senior Reliability Engineer.

Responsibilities include:

  • Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times.
  • Follows necessary GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations/guidelines.
  • Takes oil/grease samples and submits for testing according to schedule.
  • Makes recommendations to add/update/change sampling frequencies.
  • Provides feedback based on results of lube analysis.
  • Works with suppliers to ensure lubricants are proper for application and in stock.
  • Completes lubrication routes as assigned and scheduled.
  • Provides feedback to add/update/change lubrication frequency, quantity, and type.
  • Maintains clean and functional lubrication equipment.
  • Maintains any automatic lubrication equipment.
  • Maintains clean and orderly lubrication storage and disposal area.
  • Assists with repairs and rebuild of equipment.
  • Trains maintenance personnel on proper lubrication practices.
  • Attends trainings as scheduled.

Minimum Requirements include the following:

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of lubrication function and practices

Skills and competencies required are:

  • Able to demonstrate high school level understanding of mathematics
  • Familiar with data analysis
  • High level of competency operating computers
  • Comfortable using MS Excel and Word

The Work Environment includes manufacturing and warehouse environments, which may or may not be temperature controlled. Overtime is required when necessary. Hearing protection is required. Must be able to work around moving equipment.

Physical requirements include:

  • Ability to walk/stand the majority of an eight-hour shift
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Frequent use of hands
  • Occasional reaching overhead
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, bending, and squatting
  • Frequent pushing and pulling with arms and legs throughout shift, including materials requiring up to 75 lbs of force to maneuver
  • Constant light and firm grasping with hands throughout shift
  • Occasional climbing of stairs
